I began writing this blog a while back ---> here and I never got around to finishing up my entire blog the way I wanted ( meaning.. add my full editorial story), which led to .. no posts ! The struggle is real. I finally found the inspiration and the time today (and I have my hard drives back in my possession!)
I believe my creativity will flow in ways i never knew, my first island shoot after 2 years will be this upcoming Saturday and Sunday... SO looking forward!!!

Time Management is one of the most difficult things to deal with , as a photographer and wife. but hey.. it's all part of the journey and story =) follow/subscribe to my blog for more of my personal stuff.
This one was taken in the zoo in Amsterdam, years ago circa 2010. something about big teeth and scales. love it ! =)
Another #throwbackthursday blog post. These are some of the images from one of my first shoots in Amsterdam. The model did her own makeup and we figured out the styling together. A cold fun day outdoors and then later on , some quick test shots in the studio. I took away a very valuable learning experience. =) circa 2008. Amsterdam.
My first time shooting with model Annemarije, cool chick, music lover and superb model.
Model: Annemarije H | MUA/Styling/Photo/Lighting & PP: Sarina Gito
Here's a lovely little #throwback series from a shoot we did back in Amsterdam in 2012, my second shoot with the beautiful Shaeeza, one of my muses and a good friend, this girl is such a great model. I styled the shoot myself, while makeup was done by my favourite make up artists in Amsterdam Ms. Kielb.

I took these between 2002 and 2006 with a tiny little compact cam from Olympus, which I still own (as i do all my cameras). I loved this camera because I knew exactly how to shake itup and experiment to get these blurry vision images. =)

So this was a very last minute organized type of deal. Norman (of easy tape) asked me if i wanted to work with an American performer while on tour with Disney in Europe.. of course.. i love networking.. and i LOVE working with dancers/performers.. so i could not day no.. and the energy felt great so i knew it would be a nice match.
and i was right.. yay!
So i was hooked up with an amazing apartment in Amsterdam Oud Zuid (Old South of Amsterdam) .. with a rooftop view, a perfect location for our concept. and a nice little experience for our American friend Carranzo.. (not many people get to see the view of the rooftops in Amsterdam =)
So despite the weather.. as it was very cold.. and rainy looking.. it remained dry for a bit until it began to rain.. but we got our shots in before and after. I had to shoot extra images to get the sky right.. since it was overcast.. i could get NO details in the actual moody sky.. so a lil tweaking on my cam settings and we had our background.
The first image released is something i worked on for halloween (Samhain .. as i refer to it) i've attached a quick screenshot to show what i did to bring the image to life.. I honestly would love to work on it some more but.. maybe at a later stage.. as my workload is staring me in the face.. (i have such a great imagination..:P )
hope you like. feedback is welcomed. thank you for reading =)

we also had a shoot with an incredible professional model duo team.. Marcel and Melanie from Germany.. whom i was very happy to collab with. I love when models contact me from abroad and make an effort to come to me to be shot by me.. it's an incredibly inspiring feeling .. makes me proud.. and very happy to know that people are that supportive of my work. thank you. I will post a separate blog for their shoot.. it's quite HOT! haha.. erm but yes .. it is .. i cannot wait to share that ! =)
My very good friend and former colleague at Adobe Europe in Amsterdam always had the most awesome people as friends (including myself). one day he suggested we shoot his friend Lizette (Lizzy) So we did so one afternoon at her place in Amsterdam. We made use of the garden, the balcony, the hallway and the street right outside.
Lizzy pulled out this incredibly gorgeous vintage Chanel skirt which her mom once owned.. and so we had to photograph that, I suggested we head out into the street and get some fun, candid, jumping / running shots. She was an awesome sport for putting up with me. In the end she loved all her photos.
